Encounters 1 (Vomit), Encounter 2 (Bird Poop)
Encounters 1 and 2 are resin shoe casts marked by impressions of vomit and bird poop, meant to mimic the familiar encounters that come with ordinary living and the continuous experience of acting on the “personal.” Every being engages with life through their own needs, desires, actions, and emotions, and in a shared world, these personal lives overlap in many ways of encounters and counter-responses. Bodies will bump into one another, words will be exchanged, birds will fly, chewing gum will be spat out, and I will try to get to work and make it back home. In a sense, it feels meant to be.
